Follow the track through our farm and over the hill, which leads down to the camping field.
THE CAMPING FIELD IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE

This is the ideal location from which to enjoy the River Tees or access to the fells which contribute to the stunning landscape of this lovely and peaceful area of Upper Teesdale. Relax in our Farmhouse Kitchen at Low Way Farm, or the local traditional country public house, the Strathmore Arms, just 100 yards or so up the road from our Farm. Whilst the location may appear remote Middleton-in-Teesdale is only 3 miles or so either by road or on the Pennine Way. There the local amenities include the Co-operative shop, Barclays Bank with cashpoint, a tourist information centre, hardware shop, antique and gift shops, pubs and cafes.

The North side of our camping field where the River Tees flows through and past Low Way Farm. A stile gives easy access to the river and superb walks in either direction. The Pennine Way follows our side of the river bank, and turn left to enjoy this beautiful stretch of the river, to Low Force and beyond to High Force. An option for a round walk in this direction is to cross the river at Scoberry Bridge, and cross again at the historic suspension bridge ie. Wynch Bridge at Low Force. Turning right on the Pennine Way leads to Middleton-in-Teesdale.
